Did you REALLY say two hours of maths!?

Yes… I sat through two hours of maths class in a language I don’t even speak.

And by sat through, I mean my host sister, Léa decided to sit in the front row and I had a hard time sleeping… Which is what I did today in every other class. I think I have the knack of it now, you put your had to your forehead as though pondering something, let the fringe fall slightly and BAM you’re intensly staring at your work, NOT sleeping. This is what I have learnt from the past two days at school…

I also learnt that having a Spanish movie with French Subs doesn’t help me in understanding anymore than without the subs… Then again, I think I fell asleep within the first 10 mins anyway, as did at least 5 other people in the room…

And why was I so sleepy today? Good question, I wish I knew…

Since my last post… There has been a trip to a ‘petite village’ adorned with Christmas lights, a Sunday of literally NOTHING, oh, and I saw Puss in Boots! Only here it’s <<Le Chat Potté>>, no, I didn’t understand much, but funnily enough that didn’t stop me enjoying the movie, and ‘awww’-ing every time Puss pulled his signature look…

Good news everyone, tomorrow is… you guessed it… Wednesday! (gonna get down on… no? okay sorry…) And do you know what that means? It means we only have half a day of school AND Léa and I are going to make cookies!

I know you’re jealous…

xx Ivy

PS. I promise to share the cookies once we’re done with them.

No more from me

Yesterday was my last full day in England for two weeks. We did a bit of shopping, went to this terrible place for lunch that that didn’t serve us for about an hour (people who sat down after us managed to eat and leave before we were even served) and after that, we walked down the lit up oxford street. The English make a huge deal about christmas lights. They blocked off all the traffic so people could just walk around and enjoy the sights, the music, the lights and the department store windows. It was all gorgeous.
Unfortuneately, this may be my last post for a while. If I get the chance to, I’ll explain within the next week, but I’m probably going to be a bit busy. So until next week, Happy Holidays!
